The Marie Cowser Papers consists of personal papers from Marie Cowser documenting her work as a community organizer. Also included is documentation, meeting notes and agendas for the organizations she was a part of. The organizations include Neighborhood Planning Unit-M (NPU-M), the Atlanta Empowerment Zone Corporation (AEZC), the Community Empowerment Advisory Board (CEAB) and the Atlanta Community Empowerment Board (ACE). There are also cassette tapes from some of the board meetings.
